Phoenix's Favorite Open-Air Shopping Hub

From groceries to gifts, Camelback Colonnade packs everything you need into one sun-drenched Phoenix destination.

About Us

A colorful display of fresh produce in a grocery store.

At 1919 E Camelback Rd, the Colonnade has been a fixture of Phoenix's uptown corridor long enough that locals remember it as a full enclosed mall. Today it operates as a sprawling open-air center, and honestly, the format suits the Arizona lifestyle better. You park once, step into the sunshine, and move from store to store without fighting indoor crowds or recycled air.

The tenant mix here is genuinely useful, not just filler. Fry's Food Store anchors the grocery run, PetSmart handles the four-legged members of the household, Michaels supplies every craft project you've been putting off, and Nordstrom Rack's Last Chance outlet draws deal hunters from across the Valley. Restaurants and cafes fill the gaps, so there's always somewhere to sit down and eat between stops.

With a 4.3-star rating across more than 6,500 Google reviews, the Colonnade earns its reputation on consistency: clean common areas, a wide anchor lineup, and the kind of all-in-one convenience that cuts a five-errand day down to one trip. Parking fills up during peak hours, so weekday mornings are the sweet spot if you want an easy in-and-out.

What We Offer

Camelback Colonnade covers the full range of everyday and specialty retail under the Phoenix sun. Grocery shopping at Fry's means you can knock out the week's meals before you even leave the property. Pet supplies, craft materials, deep-discount designer fashion, electronics, and salon services are all within the same parking lot, which makes the center genuinely practical rather than just a collection of storefronts.

The dining lineup adds real flexibility to any visit. Whether you need a quick coffee to fuel the shopping run or a sit-down lunch, the mix of cafes and restaurants along the colonnade gives you options at every price point. The center runs Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, so early-morning grocery runs and after-work errands both fit comfortably into the schedule.

For residents along Camelback Road and the surrounding Biltmore and Arcadia neighborhoods, this is less a destination and more a weekly routine. That kind of repeat traffic is earned, and the Colonnade keeps earning it by maintaining a clean, well-managed environment that makes multi-stop shopping feel easy rather than exhausting.

"I loved this mall as a child. But it's not really a mall anymore. It's a strip mall. It has a lot of great shops and places to eat but it's just not the same. Parking can be a little bit challenging in certain areas. Kura is great as is California Fish grill and Zuppas. And there is a library branch as well!"

"Awesome spot it's close to the house. They have an in and out burger, 5 below, Fry's ,PetSmart and so much more. Just about anything you want they have a store for it! I forgot they have a best buy as well. I have a soft spot for Best buy as that is where my wife and I met 20 years ago. Also across the street they have a trader Joe's and a whole foods. If you are in the area stop by and get yourself a double double! Oh and if you don't live in AZ.... Sorry about your luck homie! Lol"
